tumblr discourse is fucking stupid because if you get off of the internet, none of these problems genuinely amount to a hill of beans. frankly, i am very frustrated that there's so much goddamn infighting with LGBT people online that we can't coalesce and unify to actually work on problems that actually matter. i no longer engage in discourse because i realized this, and how fucking stupid it is. seriously. you shouldn't treat it as tHe MoSt ImPoRtAnT LgBt StUfF. go outside. talk to a gay person who's older than 35. jesus christ.

when discussing politics, optics are one of the most important things to think about. how do your actions make the movement look as a whole? do you think your actions will cause more moderate people to feel comforted or attacked? how will that affect their joining of the movement? can we really afford to lose these voices? these questions are vital for any political movement.
i do not answer questions based on any of my controversial opinions; not because my opinion on them is concrete, but because they are always changing, and you yourself have no idea how much research and self-reflection i do. my tumblr is a place for sharing funny memes, for sharing resources, for exposing my art, and for for expressing myself. i simply don't have the energy to answer questions about my Hot Takes. thanks for understanding.
regardless of how many opinions i share, or text posts i make, at the end of the day, YOU DON'T KNOW ME OR KNOW WHO I AM OR WHAT I THINK ABOUT EVERYTHING. please keep this in mind. i do not have a relationship with you, passive viewer, and i genuinely think one of the great curses of the internet is the fact that it makes parasocial relationships so easy and seductive. but the real tea is that you have no idea who i am, and it's likely that you never fucking will. we are strangers.
i genuinely don't care if you agree with the stuff above or not, you can follow me even if you disagree. i am friends with a lot of people who i actively disagree with, but because i'm an adult i don't feel a need to end friendships or excise people from communities for having controversial opinions like the ones above. this is how the left will coalesce.
